Michelle Peterson
Dedicated to her cause with Passion
Michelle Peterson is a mother who never imagined she’d become a national advocate—but when her 15-year-old child was unlawfully groomed by a 34-year-old teacher, she was thrust into a fight no parent ever wants to face. What followed was a grueling three-year legal battle to hold that predator accountable—one that ended in a conviction, but also opened Michelle’s eyes to the deep cracks in our legal system when it comes to protecting kids from grooming and trafficking.
Now, Michelle is on a mission to fix what’s broken. She’s working tirelessly to get unlawful grooming laws passed in all 50 states—laws that close loopholes, end plea deals for predators, enforce lifelong sex offender registration, and keep offenders away from places that cater to children. But she’s not just changing laws—she’s empowering parents, grandparents, and guardians with the tools and knowledge they need to recognize the warning signs and protect the children they love.
Michelle’s advocacy is deeply personal, rooted in pain, perseverance, and a mother’s unwavering resolve to ensure no other family has to walk the path hers did. She’s become a voice for the voiceless, pushing for real consequences, real change, and real awareness in a system that too often protects predators instead of children.
